IT WON'T ALWAYS END UP HAPPILY EVER AFTER
Before I begin to put down these scattered thoughts, A bit of checking in to dust the cobwebs
"Hello, how are you? What have you been up to? Again, really, how are you?
I am writing this unplanned, but hopefully it makes sense at the end, and if it doesn't, I didn't promise you anything serious from the start of this.
Ehenhn, I thought of how, in our quest to give hope, we don't talk about "just in case" enough.
I mean, just in case it doesn't end happily ever after.
If you're confused, I promise you that I am a bit more confused than you are, but let me put it in context.
"The hope we can give to a sick person is bi idhniLlah; Allah will grant you shifah; you will be well again; Allah loves you."
Now, what if the illness eventually takes his life?
IT WON'T ALWAYS END UP HAPPILY EVER AFTER
Now that death has taken your beloved, would you stop praying to your Lord? That's not even an option because that's going against our Lord and comes with punishment. (May Allah forbid.)
......Inserts confusion...
Beloved Slave of Ar-Rahman, while it might seem like it didn't end happily in this world, perhaps the happy ending is in the hereafter.
How about we consider the what-if?
What if the person lived longer only to become a Kaafir at old age?
What if the person lived a bit longer but began to commit atrocities that brought disgrace upon himself and you all—the loved ones?
The test is great, but our faith lies in how much we are able to think of our Lord in this trying time as good.
So, even when it doesn't end happily, we would still not say anything except that which is pleasing to our Lord while remembering that He will not burden us beyond what we can bear, so, sabr, a little more of it. Beloved Slave of Ar-Rahman
This world is not Jannah, where there is no test. As long as you are here, you will be tested, but remember that your Lord only tests those whom He loves.
Your Lord sees, He hears, and He's ever merciful.
A end of scattered thought task (because this is not a letter)
Think of the way Allah is showing you mercy or has shown you mercy in your current test, and be grateful for it.
Fee AmaniLlah.

Jazhakumulahu khaer.
Thanks for this
This is such an interesting perspective and so true because we really don’t know if the things we’re staking our hopes and dreams on are actually khair for us. In Sha Allah, I’ll do my best to keep this in mind. Jazakillahu khairan for sharing🤍
